This is one of my favorite people. Which may be the reason why this was one of my favorite photo sessions. I know I always say that. Oh well.

This beauty was one of my best friends growing up. She is so much fun and has a ton of energy, so when I needed a model for a themed session I knew just who to call. I'm not usually interested in themed photographs. I prefer people looking the way they see themselves, or how they want to be remembered down the road, but this was a special project.

We came up with the 1940's so that we could really glam up the photos. Who doesn't love the old Hollywood glamor? She fit the part exactly! I'm so happy with these photos, I like to think we pulled of the 40's with just a twist of today mixed in. What do you think?

Baby A

I feel like the luckiest girl right now. Just a few weeks after we arrived here in Sierra Vista my sister-in-law gave birth to a beautiful little girl! Since then she's had to humor me like crazy while I torment the poor little thing getting just the right photographs. It has been a lot of fun!

This is just a taste of how adorable this little one is. I've got loads more of Baby A that I'm sure you'll see soon. Until then I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

I'm Back...Sort Of, Plus the lovely Ms. C

In case any of you were wondering if I packed up and called my photography adventure over the answer is absolutely not. I love photography and am having such a great time sharing my photos with you. My family and I did relocate however, to Sierra Vista, Arizona. Getting back in the swing of things since the move has taken some time, but I'm starting to feel caught up and ready to get things moving with my photography again.

Now, on to the main event. Ms. C.

I was lucky enough to do my first Bridal Session just a few days before the move and I am so excited to share these photos with you! C was a beautiful bride with so much personality! She wanted her photos to have a little edge to them with an urban grunge feel.

We had so much fun! I loved doing some bridal's with a little twist.

Is this a cute bunch or what? I can't believe all that beautiful blond hair; it makes me hum California Dreaming just looking at them.

I had such a great time with this photo session. The girls are absolute sweetness and the little boy is pure energy and life. It made for some crazy, fun, and very pretty photos.

A Little Baby B

Are these guys cute or what?

I love this family. There happy faces and cute personalities were so much fun. Well mostly happy faces. What do you do when your one-year-old doesn't like to be touched? She was a sweetheart though. And absolutely beautiful when the smiles did come.

Did you notice the eyes on these beauties! I'm always a little envious of bright blue eyes because mine are grey, but I say they are blue. These girls have the real thing though, and they are gorgeous!

The Boys

This is really a part two from my last photo session. These boys are so cute and loved to tease each other! I had a great time with this session because I don't photograph boys as much as the girls so it was a very different experience.

They can't sit still! It was really fun though, just a few more action shots than posed, but how can you be sad about that?

I can't get over how lucky this family is. Their eyes are AMAZING! Whether they're beyond blue or chocolate brown they are gorgeous!

My favorite part of the experience was noticing how the best smiles came when they were interacting together. If they ever froze up, I'd just send in a brother and their faces lit up! These guys are very close and so much fun. I loved it!

Black and White

I was just practicing some black and white yesterday. This is hopefully a high contrast black and white. I love the blossoms on the trees right now. Popcorn Popping on the apricot tree!

K and B

These girls are a couple of beauties! I think I say this every time, but it feels true every time. This may be my favorite photo session to date! K and B had such great personalities and loved getting their picture taken which made for some great photographs.

It was amazing to ask them to pose a certain way and then watch them do it... no treats or funny dances necessary. Photographing a toddler is definitely a different experience. I guess both have their charm though.

Thanks again girls! I had a great time and hope you're as happy with the finished products as I am.

Wedding Special!

'Tis the season...

Congratulations to everyone out there preparing for their special day! If its anything like mine was your day should go something like this:

1. Wake up just before your alarm clock beeps even though you hardly slept at all that night waiting, worrying, and dreaming of the day about to start.

2. Tender moments with mom and dad over breakfast, with some necessary teasing from brothers and sisters. No tears yet... hopefully.

3. Hair, nails, makeup. A few tears from mom.

4. Four hours later (not an exaggeration) soon to be husband calls to let you know he's awake.

5. Slip into the dress you spent weeks searching for, hoping all the pre-celebration celebrations wont rip any seams. Hold the tears together mom.

6. Walk into the room with all eyes on you. Look to the front... no worries, he's there. You can let them go now mom.

7. Share some of the most amazing moments with your soon to be husband. Making promises, expressing love, receiving words of wisdom, and believing you'll never forget the words being said. You might, but only because the moment is too full of awe and excitement for words.

8. Spend the rest of the day with people you love. Making toasts, laughing, dancing, hopefully eating. All the while know you are the most beautiful person in the world to the one person that matters today.

9. Escape. Blush as every person you know blows bubbles and cheers for the two of you as you drive away in the balloon filled, window painted, cans tied to the bumper car your new husband had washed and waxed the day before.

Its a special day and one you'll wish 6 years later you could remember better. I love weddings. I love the bride, the groom, bridesmaids, food, music and everything in between. With the wedding season starting up I cannot wait to capture these moments with you.

I love babies! This photo shoot was great because the style was a lot more dramatic and formal than I usually do, but I think I'll have to use it a little more often. I am in love with these photos, or maybe just Baby S, who knows.

What a cute family, and what an adorable baby. Thank you, thank you for letting me take these photos. I absolutely love them and hope you do too.

Let's Have a Snow Day!

What a whirl wind Christmas can be. Between presents, shopping, and family I think I almost missed the main event. Next year I'm going to be ultra prepared, that way I can take things slower and enjoy the wonderful season. Until then, now that my house is finally back in order, I thought we'd take advantage of the wonderful scenery.

Let's have a Snow Day!

Starting January 9th I'll be offering mini-sessions every Saturday in January. Whether its just the kids, the whole family, friends, or a special date come to the Draper City Park between the hours of 10am-3pm and let me take pictures of all the fun.

Draper City Park has a great hill for sledding, and tons of room for snowmen and snowball fights. I am so excited for these pictures; I know they will be a lot of fun.

The cost is just $20 dollars for 4 images if you can believe it.

Here's what you do:
Step 1) Give me a call or email telling me what day and time you're planning to be there. I'm setting aside these hours every Saturday so don't worry if you forget to plan ahead. Although a little foresight is appreciated.

Step 2) Payment is due at the time of the shoot. I do my best work when there's some monetary gain involved. :)

Step 3) Have a great time! Just play and enjoy yourselves for about a half hour, then I'll get out of your hair to let you continue with the fun.

Step 4) I'll go home to edit and proof the photos and mail you a CD with 4 great photos and memories for you to enjoy.

Just a side note. If you'd like to proof the images yourself, or want more pictures, upgraded packages are available.

I loved these little cuties. They had so much personality and were so happy! A few of these shots are definitely on my favorite list.

Their mom found the greatest spot to take the pictures at too. I loved the look of the old distressed wood. I think the pictures turned out great!

Christmas Mini-Shoot

All right everybody. In celebration of the Christmas season I think we should start things off with, of course, a SALE! I will be holding mini-sessions on November 28th.

What's a mini-session? Basically its 50% off everything. So instead of a $150 family session for 10 pictures you get 5 pictures for $75. Instead of $100 for a portrait session, its only $50. You get the idea.

This will be perfect for the Christmas cards waiting to be sent out or get one framed to give to your grandma as a gift. Keep in mind you get a printing release with all your photos; that means they are yours to print and copy however you please.

I can't wait to get started. Just give me a call or email to schedule your shoot. Plan on 45-60 minutes at a location of my choosing. I'll post some pictures of the spot soon. Don't worry...its perfect, and has some shelter in case the weather isn't cooperating.

Remember, the best light is in the morning and evening so reserve your spot soon to make sure you get the better light. Can't wait to hear from you!

This is my sweet daughter. She is an angel in our home and that is what I wanted to show in these pictures. The light was beautiful that day and the pictures turned out even better in print than in my head; that's what I call a success!
